RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) is pleased to announce that it has partnered with the Lebanon Salvation Army to recruit and support volunteers for the Salvation Army. “RSVP is delighted to be able to help the Salvation Army meet its volunteer needs,” said RSVP Lebanon County Development Coordinator Scott Brubaker. “The Salvation Army does such wonderful work in the community and RSVP is eager to be a supportive partner in those efforts,” Brubaker said. According to Lucinda Semsick, Salvation Army Caseworker/Office Manager, “We are excited to be able to benefit from the support of RSVP volunteers as the Salvation Army seeks to fulfill its mission in serving the needs of the Lebanon Community.”
RSVP is actively recruiting volunteers to serve at the Salvation Army as Noon and Evening Meal Preparers, After-school Tutors, Second Harvest Helpers, and Senior Share Box Deliverers. RSVP, a Senior Corps program of the Corporation for National & Community Service, recruits and places volunteers as: tutors, meals on wheels deliverers, friendly visitors, VA Medical Center helpers, mentors, knitters/crocheters, food bank workers, van drivers, activities aides, clerical workers, quilters, and numerous other opportunities where they are most needed in Lebanon County. RSVP of the Capital Region also receives funding support from the United Way of Lebanon County.
