RSVP of the Capital Region is excited to present Robert “Bob” Boyer as our Lebanon County Volunteer of the Month for October. Bob has been a volunteer with RSVP for 1.5 years and has served at the Lebanon Veterans Administration Medical Center where he has donated over 3,379 hours of service to veterans during the last 10 years.
Bob is such an inspiration. A veteran of the US Air Force, Bob retired from the electronics industry after a career that spanned over 36 years. He spends most of his time at the Ambassador Desk inside the main entrance to Building 17 guiding veterans to the services they need. Bob always has a smile and is willing to help out wherever he is needed. In fact, Bob also spends time in the hospice unit comforting veterans facing the ends of their lives.
RSVP would like to thank Bob for his willingness to share his time and talents with his fellow veterans. Thank you, Bob, for all you do to help others in the community! You are a hero serving our heroes.
RSVP works with volunteers who are 55 and over to help match their time and talents with volunteer positions in the community. For more information on volunteer opportunities in Lebanon County, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (717) 454-8956.
